Hi, just wondering how one would connect 2 of these in one board, is there a type of 13pin splitter that I'll have to use?

from what I gather online, a Y splitter might blow up one of my units? I also saw that there was a GKP4 unit that was produced before for this purpose, but is not discontinued.

Appreciate the help!

Use a GK 13 pin Guitar ( GK-3, Godin with RMC )
Roland sells a GK13 pin Y cable  GKP-2
https://www.vguitarforums.com/smf/index.php?topic=12621.0
(Could also use the Roland US- 20 GK A/B/Y Selector)

One side Output A goes to SY1000

Other side Output B goes to GKC-AD GK SERIAL  adapter that feeds GM-800

Hello,
here's one more solution:

You can find it here: https://primovasound.com/products/gkpx14/index.php

There you can also take a look at the manual.

Here's a thread about it on this great forum https://www.vguitarforums.com/smf/index.php?topic=12045.0

And Robert, the maker-seller, is a great guy.

And if you want your splitter to be a creative tool, Robert also does this https://primovasound.com/products/gx2/index.php

And there's also Bill at separate strings https://www.separate-strings.co.uk/GKP2%20Breakout%20Box.html if you want individual string outs

Thanks everyone, went with the roland US20 in the end cause of the foot switches, and more readily available where im at. Didnt even know you could split the strings signal out individually so will be looking into that.

Just need a good power brick and a wireless system now

Here is my SY-1000 and GM-800 on a board.
Making a new pedal board and this is where it is going
SY-1000 is tilted up on an angle with two power supplies velcro'd underneath.
The GM-800 has the GKC-AD converter underneath.
The GK splitter is at the top right, and to the left of that is a passive mixer SY-1000 + GM-800 in,
and stereo mix out for the P.A. + a mono monitor out to a stage amp.

The grey thing with buttons is a D.I.Y foot version of a midi note controller to SY-1000 midi input > Sy-1000 set to midi thru, SY-1000 midi out > GM-800 midi input > GM-800 midi out > VE-500 midi in.

Still more to finish on the board...

Looks awesome, I've also been considering the VE-500. Have not considered adding a mixer to the board but maybe I should. How are you using the midi controller? changing keys for harmonies?

Gumtown shares details of incorporating his DIY MIDI Note Foot controller with GM-800 here:
