I'd like to try recreating Royal Blood's sound but I'm struggling with the pitch shifter. My intention was to split my bass's signal between a conventional bass amp and an octave up going into a guitar amp. However I can't get the pitch shifter to give me a clean octave up sound. Has anyone else tried this?

If you want only the octave sound, turn the D.LEVEL to 0.

If you find the tracking not so good, on the pitch shifter you can try different modes, FAST, MEDIUM and SLOW.

Maybe try the harmonist or overtone?

Use the Pedal Bend effect instead, it does better pitch tracking.
Instead of typically assigning the pedal position to EXP pedal, set the Pitch min and Pitch Max both to +12 (semi tone).
Have the Pedal Bend FX at the beginning of the chain.

This was it! The tracking isn't perfect but it's solved my riddle thank you very much
