I´d like to be able to control the volume globally with my expression pedal. Need detailed instructions on how to do that if someone out there would be kind and help me with this issue.

BROCKSTAR

Hit menu > control assign > control function

Use select button and scroll down to EXP 1 or EXP 2, which ever one you have you pedal plugged into.
Change to "scene pedal pos" under function and under PREF change to system.

I have EXP 1 set as described to "scene pedal pos" and "system", and volume control via my expression pedal works on all scenes.  However, when changing scenes, I'm experiencing that the position of the pedal is not retained.  For example, When I have the heel down, zero volume, and change to a different scene, the initial volume of the scene I just changed to is not zero.

Am I missing a setting for initial scene volume or pedal position retention?

Search Parameter Guide ( page 17) for "ASSIGN HOLD" which retains the current Value (position) of the Expression Pedal when switching Scenes

But your available Scenes must employ identical FX

Thanks for the pointer to Assign Hold; this helped me troubleshoot, and I discovered a solution (and perhaps a bug).

I'm using GK-5 pickup.  I already had EXP1 HOLD set to "ON", yet the pedal position did not retain when switching scenes.  However, I also had GK VOL HOLD set to "ON" (because sometimes I use a different guitar with GK-3 and a GKC-AD). When I toggle GK VOL HOLD to "OFF", the pedal position works correctly between scenes.  This solves my gigging issue.

The possible bug is that when using GK-5, it shouldn't matter whether GK VOL HOLD is ON or OFF, since the GK-5 does not have a volume knob.
