Gm 800 with external midi keyboard

Greetings . I was trying to make my Gm 800 to receive notes from my 12 step by Keith macmillan and at the same time to play with my instrument on the same preset. The only thing I managed to do was each of this working separately but not together . Any ideas ?

There is a global midi setting for "Note Source" (parameter guide, pg 18).

If you set that to Custom, you can set some parts to receive GK input, and some parts to receive MIDI input.

You cannot send both GK & midi performance data to the same part at the same time.  So you end up dedicating some parts to GK & some to midi.

Fwiw, a GR-33 has no problems using both GK 13 pin input and 5 pin MIDI input at same time to trigger GR-33 internal PCM sounds on any patch

That's a bump . I don't get it why they make it like this . I hope the fix it in some future update
