75 seconds? somethings's not right there. I'd estimate the data transfer (blue line) takes about 10-15 seconds on my M1 MacBook Air. I'm using a Roland UM ONE MK2 in standard mode into a USB host port on my audio interface but I've tested it connected directly to a computer USB port and it's about the same in terms of speed.

FWIW, I recently set up a dual boot system on an older Intel MacBook to run either Sonoma or Mojave (for VG-99 stuff only) so I'm using both systems day in, day out. I feel no notable difference in the performance of the two.

I've never experienced a 75 second load with CrossOver [24].

My direct experience as described in his thread is that Audio Cards MIDI ports are not as fast as Roland UM ONE MKII. I can guess why. They are very good in MIDI Notes and MIDI CC events while not very good in SYSEX. That requires a level of sync and speed that it might not have been implemented. The data flow between VG99 and the Editor is very high and needs a line capable of using all of the bandwidth of a MIDI connection.
That's why I do not use the MIDI IN & OUT of my audio card for VG99 Editor.
Fair enough, the Roland UM ONE MKII is connected to Roland JV1010, a device that has been thought since the start to transmit and receive massive amount of data because has very limited editing capabilities (close to zero) and relies on its editor. Even with this configuration I do not experience any data loss or slowness when using VG99 Editor living in Crossover.

Motu has a tradition of being very good at Audio and it's exactly what they say on the website:

However Motu sells dedicated MIDI Interfaces. Have you contacted Motu on this?

Very few provide that feature, which make/model audio interface with USB Host are you using?

iConnectAUDIO4+ (USB MIDI host port)
