Looper length?

So Roland *finally* put a looper in one of their synth pedals! Two, actually - "DJFX" and "BPM".

But for the "length" parameter (for both loopers) it simply says, "Length 230–23 (not straight) - Specifies the length of the loop".

Not sure what that means! Seconds? Not likely. Milliseconds? Also not likely. Some other obscure measurement indicator? Anybody know?

Ok, that makes sense. MIDI looper, not audio looper, OK.

It still results in a loop of sound, though, yes? If so, where to find more info about inputting and managing this?

Longer thought on this, I was thinking specifically about using some of the included drum kits to get drum loops going.

Actually I was thinking about having a loop start, then switching banks and playing over it, but I guess that won't be possible if it's only MIDI info, changing banks would lose the samples.

Still, I would like to put a drum set in the bank and loop some if it.

The Roland GR-55 guitar synth has a built in (simple) audio looper, which can do overdub.
