As suggested by Elantric as reasonable pre-made substitute - has AL and CU shielding, drain wire.

I hade a 50 cm (20 inch) version made from https://shop.sommercable.com/en/Cable/Bulk-Cable-Audio/DMX-Binary-234-AES-EBU-MKII-520-0051.html by a company that's a Roland seller and also does audio/video installations. They offer custom cable building, called them with the specs, they suggested options and made the cable.

I got most details from this thread: https://www.vguitarforums.com/smf/index.php?topic=36026.0

I've experienced no intereference so I guess both work.

Hope this helps.

Could it be that the patch cable is shorter that makes the tracking faster?

Cable length makes no difference to tracking or latency delay (unless it was more than 100,000km long).

even excluding the effects of gravity, red-shift, and time dilation, all fiber-optic succumbs to the speed limits of the universe.  8)
the important thing with high-speed serial data is the structure/quality of the cable/patch lead.

And don't forget anything over a couple of thousand km is a nightmare to untangle when you need to patch it in a hurry  :)
