This would ordinarily have been a relatively positive step forward for any company looking to strive forward. In this case, as a casual viewer with no expectations the artist was clearly first class and had a time constraint. And with this level talent I understand why. Alex dropped massive amounts of data regarding other things like tuning and regular guitar virtuoso things and some even related to how a guitar player relates to playing top shelf blues rock organ with Leslie tones. The interviewer, a BOSS employee was a dabbler in the tones and not a musician or a player that puts food on his table with live music and it showed. He is an internet person , so I will coin a term here... a " Webbie " a pay to say host that was detached from the live participants and in particular our own lifeblood. Brock and Steve were ignored regarding questions and a few weak stabs at acknowledging that they were on the stream was something that left me really PO'd. I call things as I see them. Increadible tools and Roland/BOSS needs to hire quality and PAY quality. Clearly Alex is not being paid in scale here. This man is an ICON and now everybody knows it. I will hold my opinions here because I want to show I do have restraint. But honestly you shoot yourself when you create greatness and trust in marketing short comings. In fairness the two conent creators are a success going forward. Please BOSS PAY Alex to scale and watch the flowers blossom. The host is a good guy, however, we need an apex guitar player host to lead this thing. NOT ten internet " Influencers " to try to "interpret" what a guitar synth ' thingey ' is suppose to do or be. . .

Synth guitar is boring, wierd, obscure and creepy to the average person walking into it in a community restaurant or bar or venue. . . It needs an advance presenter and charisma to sell this stuff to the public, the final consumer. The king or queen of the ' open mic ' night is what I am talking about here. The stand up comedian that captivates the audience and makes them keel over laughing at the obvious things. No, its not a backing track. . . Yes, I am willing to make a mistake LIVE and laugh at myself while doing it to show you its LIVE and then we all LAUGH TOGETHER. THATS the magic of the Live Show with V Guitar and Looping Roland/BOSS. Otherwise we do it as usual Live and with our band of brothers and sisters. In the studio is not a choir we imagine preaching to. Alex mentioned he plays in his Trio with a GR-55 and he has videos of it. Apparently things are ' good enough ' and we have to focus on he performances showing this. I have posted videos of other players doing shows, Allan Holdsworth tribute shows with the older tech, so we are beyond that pissing contest by a long long while. Play, and Play it loud, LIVE where all can see and hear with all the glitches and bugs and bad notes. . . That Open Mic show is WAY more stunning than the backing tracked big dollar show and anybody that goes out to see shows will tell you that. Nobody is perfect and THAT is what makes the world interesting, otherwise Chat GPT has a song for you and a perfect performance that never happened, if you want that. I do not want that or subscribe to that world.

Simply Put, WE are 'imperfect' people and the sooner we get to that glorious, obvious BEAUTY, the SOONER we as a race will celebrate, unite, heal and REVEL in this beauty. No two of us are alike and that my friends is the magic, no two "BOSS/Roland" users are the same or get the same results, its impossible. So " LETS GO " on to reality !

I watched the live stream and found it to be a fine presentation of the product. If I were on the fence of deciding to try it and I then saw that video, I would have clicked the buy button. Great job to Danny and Alex!

Im just happy Boss pursued a Q&A type live stream.

We never got that opportunity with prior GK Processors in English ( Japanese Live streams are the norm.)

For VG-99, VanceG and I sat with Roland Guitar Product manager Peter Swiadon at 2009 Winter NAMM for an hour going over our VGUITARFORUMS VG-99 wish list , one year after debut.

In 2011 we had a similar "back stage" meeting at NAMM for the debut of GR-55, but the mix of COSM + PCM on several patches masked the  PCM latency, revealed after hands on ownership experience

The GP-10 was released at 2014 spring Musicmesse in Europe- then sadly was never properly demonstrated at any NAMM SHOW - extremely frustrating as it was apparent nobody at Boss USA NAMM booth wanted anything to do with it, and zero demonstration area with headphones were available. This initiated public  rumors of death of GK-13 products,  as VG-99 ceased production in 2012.

Starting in 2016 I began my annual Winter NAMM  sit down meeting with Yoshi Ikegami, and we did discuss ideas of improving communication  channels with VGUITARFORUMS users and Boss R&D.  including brainstorming future products including  the "SERIAL GK" TRS  connection.

SY-1000 had a much better release at NAMM with many hands on demo stations, despite the press focus on the goofy eyeglass demonstrator playing Ghost Busters for a dozen underwhelming youtube demos. A year later at 2020 Winter NAMM VGUITARFORUMS organized a "SY-1000 summit meeting with all Boss R&D from Japan, as well as several members of VGUITARFORUMS. This was productive and important contacts with the current Japanese Boss VGuitar /Guitar Synth development team were established-since Yoshi Ikegami has retired.

Roland/Boss do observe VGUITARFORUMS forums, but its a small team of engineers who create all Boss products and each is tasked with a workload that would overwhelm many.

Could the 1st Youtube Boss GM-800 Q&A gone better? Of course, but at least anyone can post a question or viewpoint in the Youtube Chat, and im sure Boss product managers are currently reviewing all messages.

Lets hope there are future opportunities to get our thoughts and wish list items to Boss R&D

I think it went well :) and me and you tried to answer many questions others had as well. However I do NOT like it when they delete comments. I had made a comment about people checking out the graviton m1 wireless midi unit by luminitefx that I'll be using with my sy-1000 / gm-800 etc..  when it arrives, and Boss channel deleted my comment.

Yea, they kill third party product posts faster than non paid product announcements at TGP
