For some of their products (like Fantom workstation) the Waves Expansions are the same ones included into the subscription plan, for others (like GM-800) are outside and need to be purchased with a lifetime key to be imported into hardware... For some more others (Juno-X and Jupiter X/Xm), even if the Wave Expansion need lifetime keys, you can use Roland Cloud Connect USB pen to import the ones included into subscriptions and authorise them (with a smartphone in the nearby)...

It's a confusing situation linked to different authorisations for different hardware, so I think Roland is going to clarify the whole thing soon (the pack are identical inside)

BTW the sound packs doesn't require authorisation at all.

Is it possible to import just a single part or partial into the GM-800 or does the whole expansion pack have be imported in one go ?

I see you can go on Roland Cloud and download a free "pianos 1" pack for the RD-88 keyboard, but the same pack is a paid one for the GM-800.
The packs seem to have the same part number as such, so I wonder if the RD-88 Freebie works in the GM-800.
Always remember that you are absolutely unique. Just like everyone else.

Any sound pack that begins with SDZ will work in the gm-800 no matter where you get it from. SDZ sound pack 001 to 130 will work and all of these are available in zenology pro once you sign up for pro or ultimate. No point in just buying the sound packs alone when it's cheaper to get subscription or yearly thing.

You just have to open the sound packs in zenology plug-in, and re-save each sound pack like the video I did talks about.

Do you have to buy Zenology Pro ($229)

Or you can do the pro subscription for $10 + tax a month, or the ultimate subscription for $19.99 + tax a month, and you get zenology pro with those.

A subscription plan might be a better option if you're unsure whether you want to commit or not...you should be able to get a free 30 day subscription to 'kick the tires'.

The subscription must give more than Zenology Pro for purchase given the price...right?

Quote from: Matteo Barducci on August 10, 2023, 12:55:28 PMAs I wrote before, you could subscribe to Roland Cloud, download all Wave Expansions and Sound Banks, import them into Zenology, export them and cease subscription.

Everything will work

Wave Expansions won't export from Zenology Pro to GM-800

Nope. And I assume you are saving each EZX expansion tone by tone?

Oh sorry about that, I only uploaded them to facebook pages.

As for the expansion packs, my understanding is they will only work if bought and loaded into gm-800.
I do not believe you can save each tone by tone from a pack in zenology and export it and import it that way.

Sound packs 1 through 130 works that way though.
