Guitar heard...when I thought it should not

I am preparing some patches for celebration of a friend birthday. Because my Strat clone  GK3 equipped guitar delivers hum in position 1,3,5 I was thinking to prepare patches that make use of modeled guitars for solos.
Doing that I also wanted to make good use of the GK3 switch but I discovered that when Normal guitar is off and modeled guitar on, if I place the GK3 switch on Guitar position a sound is heard. The Mix and GK positions work as expected. So why this happened? I was thinking that the GK3 switch would have muted the guitar sound (normal or modeled) depending on the switch position. Is my GK3 faulty?

Is normal path on or off when you switch to normal PU?
You're using a GK cable as "double" input (normal+modeling)?

And no normal sound in mix ( or in synth) position ?

A faulty GK cable can do that too.
Try a spare GK cable if you have one.

Normal PU has volume down and normal path off.
I am using a GK3 cable (primova) as both modeling+normal.
If I got the volume up on my guitar the normal PU is heard in mix and not heard in synth position

In all normal/modeling patches or only the ones that you're programmed now ?

So far I have tested only the one programmed now. Good point I'll check.
