Hi there — I'm looking for a foot controller where I could use my SY-1000 at fingers reach (in a stand) and have the Footswitch to control patch switching, exp. pedals (volume and wah), effects on/off, etc. Any suggestions? How about the Behringer FCB1010?

Thanks,

Chris

Behringer FCB1010 Should work fine, there's a bit to reprogram though.

I play Country music too, I'm just not sure which country it's from...

Particularly if you have installed the UnO chip - there are some nice options to have 5x patch selectors and 5x controllers when you install that firmware chip.  Pick up a second hand FCB to upgrade though, you'd cancel the warranty on a new one.

If you just use the stock FCB, then you can plug in a couple of extra FS-6/FS-7 to switch effects.

Lots of other options though from BlackStar, Keith McMillan, MorningStar, and from some of the other forum members if you're looking for something optimised ...

Why the buggery hell didn't they implement the RRC on the sy1000 and build it into the editor like the VG99??????
Surely it would only have cost pennies and given a massive functionality hike!!
Custom KGB headless, internal GK2a and sustainiac stealth plus. GR55 straight into PA.   Guitar out (COSM) feeding digitech VL4 vocal harmoniser.

Probably to late for the OP, but just to throw this into the conversation. I got the Hotone Ampero Control-- which is surprisingly flexible.

Using the Ampero Control via MIDI you can have buttons that send a fairly large list of MIDI messages, and have some combination of either switches or expression pedals connected. That is in addition to whatever you might connect directly to the SY-1000. It's easy to program and works reliably. My only grip is that it doesn't do things like CC ramps, etc. There are more full-features boxes that can do those things as well.

Roland/Boss give up too easily on their own products, or forget what they are currently selling.
Free "GR-55 FloorBoard" editor software from https://sourceforge.net/projects/grfloorboard/

And majority of the people you email them with bugs or something don't even know what the heck they're talking about!
