RIP JEFF BECK

January 11, 2023
On behalf of his family, it is with deep and profound sadness that we share the news of Jeff Beck's passing. After suddenly contracting bacterial meningitis, he peacefully passed away yesterday. His family asks for privacy while they process this tremendous loss.

Address the process rather than the outcome.  Then, the outcome becomes more likely.   - Fripp

And he was gigging just a couple of weeks ago.  Too sad.

But I got more gear than I need...and I like it!

Really, really sad news. I saw him at the O2 a few years back. Definitely one of the 'cork sniffer' guitarists – hugely influential and recognised by musicians, but unlike Clapton and Page, he never had the commercial acclaim that he richly deserved. I'll be firing up the Telecaster and playing some Yardbirds tonight.  :'(

Impossible to imitate, a genius on his own. Thank you for all the emotions given with your incredible touch. R.I.P. the world will miss you.

Devastating. Especially so that he was so active as a performer and making records. And just quite simply how awesome he was. Utterly unique. And he followed his own path.

I will miss him so much. I absolutely took from him in terms of guitar philosophy and approach. Luckily he left such a rich legacy.

Thank-you JB.

What a guitar great joining the great gig in the sky. Here's a bit of trivia some of you might enjoy. My favorite mystery involving Jeff Beck. Look at the finger work as you listen. Search and you will find "It's a mega meta kinda thang."
