as the GX-100 only supports Windows 10 and 11, I have added support for
32 bit = Windows 98SE, 2000, Xp, 7, 8, 8.1
64 bit = Windows 7, 8, 8.1

Now note!!!
as the folder contents are now modified the driver signing is now invalid, so if the installed operating system does not support unsigned drivers, then you need to reboot in unsigned driver mode.
Alternatively the driver can be installed manually by searching the install folders (unzip first) when installing the GX-100 USB.

Also a repackaged installer for Tone Studio for GX-100 which now eliminates the minimum requirement of Windows 10 to install.
I will now install and run on Windows 7 and upwards.

Disable Driver Signing.
Follow these steps to disable driver signing using the Group Policy Editor.
Hit the Win+R keys together to open the run dialog. Type gpedit.msc to open the local groups policy editor.
Expand 'User Configuration' -> 'Administrative Templates' -> 'System'. Click 'Driver Installation'.
In the right panel, double click on 'Code Signing for Device Drivers'.
Choose 'Enabled' in the window that appears. In the underlying options, choose 'Ignore'. This disables drivers signing in Windows 7, and now you can install unsigned drivers in Windows 7.
Click Apply. Restart your computer to install unsigned drivers.

I tried instaling this patched BTS for GX-100 on Win 8.1 64 Pro

Only get error - " Not compatible with this OS " midway through the install.

I realize Win 7/Win 8.1 are out of date - but this is one advantage of Every other DSP MFX company in 2022 still provides USB drivers and Editor apps that work with Win 7 / Win 8.1 /  and Win 10

While Roland / Boss latest 2022  gear editors  / USB drivers refuse to run on anything less than Win 10  - IMHO its going to restrict sales of new Roland/ Boss gear , and force many to return the Boss unit and seek Line-6/ NUX/ Hotone  / Fractal / MOOER who still support Win7/Win 8.1 on all their latest product releases
