I can't seem to find one of these anywhere? Looks like Roland would sell them since they still sell the GK3! I know they come with them new but I can't find mine. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem with an old GK2A in 2014. The Roland affiliated shop found that for me. It was not a bargain price but it was very useful.
They told me they contacted Roland Italy and found one in 14 days!
I think you can do the same.
Before that my GK2A was mounted with L shaped Bracket that came as spares by Ikea...that I made cozy by adding some fluffly material to avoid damaging the body of the guitar. I think I posted some pictures here somewhere, kind 10 years ago.

Just get some double sticky velcro that holds 10+ pnds. I've used it several times on guitars and worked like a charm and never hurt the guitar.

Man, not sure about that. You sure it won't peel paint off the guitar? This is a brand new 2021 Epiphone SG Custom Ebony.

I've used it on a few guitars and never hurt them. Now if it was nitro or really thin laquer I'd be kinda scared too, but my guitars had thick polyurethane and never hurt them, but do what you feel is best! :)

I use a weak  mirror mounting double sticky tape on a 1981 Ibanez artist and have used the Velcro method without any problems. That's from mounting a GK2 and the GK1 body too many times to count.

Other guitars also such as Ovation acoustic type guitar and a Washburn proto type Howard Roberts jazz box.

Don't think those came with mounting brackets. Maybe screws on the GK1guitar plate.

Thanks everyone. My son is going to make me one using a 3d printer. Hopefully it turns out good. I'm going to also look into some type of tape like you guys described. Thanks again!

I got the "industrial strength" Velcro tape. That was a mistake. The GK3 wart peels right off the adhesive side, leaving Velcro sandwich behind. Useless.

does it fail when you are trying to remove it or does it just drop off while using the guitar?

Wonder if cleaning that GKwart back side would help? But with want, alcohol? Is that ok to use with plastic?

Also, if it fails while using it, try  placing some strain relief on the 13 pin cable. I use a twisty tie attached to the strap holder knobby.

You have to clean the case off with alcohol so the Velcro will stick

I just bought a used SY-1000 that came with a GK-3 pickup. The bracket for mounting the "GKwart" (I believe that's the term that I'm seeing for the box holding the 13pin cable jack) came with the GK-3, but there are no spacers for mounting the pickup to the guitar. I've been searching the interwebs for just the mounting gear kit so that I can mount the GK-3 with original mounting equipment but can't find anything. This thread is over a year old so I'm hoping that maybe someone found a source for these mounting kits that doesn't require buying a whole new pickup. It's hard to believe that there is nothing available for this anywhere out there . . .

Does anyone have any secret sources they are willing to reveal? Or is the only option to "MacGyver" a solution?
