Thanks Robert and Colin for posting this information. I have a Katana 100 Head MK2 on loan. This address map is giving me a head start on adding Katana MK2 compatibility to the VController / VC-mini.

It looks like the parameters and values are the same as Katana Mk1, only the addresses are different. Did you guys notice any changes or features that are different?

The few things I found thus far:
- the spring colour in the reverb block is actually working on MK2 . This parameter does not seem to do anything on the Katana MK1.
- The min, max and contour settings of the footvol pedal have disappeared. I  can't remember if these actually worked on MK1.

Could someone explain the 'what/how' for the addresses, size and offset? What are they, how are they used/worked out?

For example, I currently use the addresses in this form: lets say writing to the boost switch at 0x60000010 I would (using the legendary MS_3 library for arduino) write to that address with the data I want (1 or 0) and the size.... but in address_map.js in the BTS mac app package it says the same param has the address of:

Long time now since working with this, but everything in MIDI is only 7 bits data so this is a BYTE with only lowest 7 bits used. The 8'th bit needs to be zero.

Padding is a dummy odd byte to get to an even WORD adress. So if adr=100 and you write a BYTE there might be a dummy byte at 101 to get to 102 which is an even address nice for a 16-bit (2xBYTE) addressing.

An integer represents an integral number (not floating point) that can be both negative and positive. Integers can occupy 8, 16, 32, 64 or more bits depending on how it's implemented.
But I got more gear than I need...and I like it!

Here's something I ran into in working with the tsl.  I can't comment if the .syx is the same way.

The default delay time is 400ms.

In the tsl it shows the following two bytes, "03" and "10"

If I put this into a hex calculator, it gives me decimal 784.

It turns out that the 1st byte is multiples of 128 instead of 256 and that the 2nd byte only goes to 127.  So 3*128 + 1 * 16 = 400.

This makes some sense if you think of it in light of MIDI data being 7 bits, but if you haven't done a lot of work deciphering MIDI data, it's an easy mistake to make.
