I did this with my GT 001, and it works like a charm  :)
Open RDIF1148.INF in a text editor...
Change the following lines from:

[Roland.NTx86.6.2]
;; Windows8
%RDID0148DeviceDesc%=RDID0148Install, USB\VID_0582&PID_0187 ; GT-001

[Roland.NTx86.7]
;; not supported

To

[Roland.NTx86.6.2]
;; Windows8
%RDID0148DeviceDesc%=RDID0148Install, USB\VID_0582&PID_0187 ; GT-001

[Roland.NTx86.7]
;; Windows 10
%RDID0148DeviceDesc%=RDID0148Install, USB\VID_0582&PID_0187 ; GT-001

It seems you might have something and similar edits might work for your other Roland drivers. Did you alter the installers and reinstall or did you edit the files in the RDdrv001 directory?

I just uninstalled all Roland drivers which were partially installed (Win 8.1), then altered INF file (from Win 8.1 32 bit installation folder) like i wrote earlier, hit Setup.exe and hey presto! It works, at least for my GT 001.

I don’t believe it! I did what neskop said and it worked.

I have just updated Window7 to Windows 10 and then tried to load Boss Tone Studio but it said it couldn’t find the drivers, so I thought I would just reload the drivers and I would be good to go, but no. As soon as the driver started loading you are asked to connect the USB and switch the GT100 on, I did that and it just sits there doing nothing. So I uninstalled and tried again but still the same.

I then saw neskop post so I thought I would give it a go, there are some minor differences as I am using a GT100 instead of a GT001, the file name is different ie RDIF1149.INF not RDIF1148.INF, but I did what he said and I then successfully loaded the drivers and I can now use Boss Tone Studio on Windows10.

Thank you neskop.

Just a quick update, I was also having a similar problem with my Edirol UM-2 USB midi interface, so I did the same thing, downloaded the drivers for Windows 8.1, altered the .inf file as Neskop suggested, deleted the old drivers, installed the “modified” driver and now the Edirol is working as well.

Thanks again Neskop, I would have never done it without you.

I had upgraded to Windows 10 without checking driver availability .... duhhhh

I have followed these instructions - no success - decided to wait for BOSS to catchup.

Hi guitar Fans!!

So, to change the .inf file is work for me, BUT:

When i install the modified driver, the windows does'nt install it because:"The hash for the file is not present in the specified catalog file. The file is likely corrupt or the victim of tampering."

This is the solution:

You need to disable device driver signing check!

For this, please to do:

1. Select the “Start” button.
2. Type “startup”.
3. Select “Change advanced startup settings“.
4. Select “Restart now” under the “Advanced startup” area.
5. Select “Troubleshoot“.
6. Select “Advanced Options“.
7. Select “Startup Options“.
8. Select “Restart“.

When a menu will appear where you can press “7” on your keyboard to choose “Disable driver signing enforcement“.

And that's it! Now you can istall the driver....

This is the link:http://www.technipages.com/enable-disable-device-driver-signing

..and for now my GT-001 is really working under windows 10 x64!

Thank you!

Here is a better idea, don't mess with anything. they have the GR-55 and the GP-10 drivers and the rest can't be far behind. Be patient and don't brick your PC.

So that leaves the VG-99 and GT-10 "orphaned" without USB drivers for current version of Windows
