I'm getting ready to replace the Tronical Tune on my SG, I just can't get the e-b-g to stay in tune

I've used all generations of Tronical products so far and this one seems to be the most interesting.  I wonder if the iOS app will take MIDI commands.

Are the tuner machines using plastic gears? I read somewhere that it is a common problem to have stripped gears. Darkfire used to have metal gears I recall and this was not a problem then. Can someone kindly confirm? Thanks

Often thats due to strings binding in the Nut slots which may be too narrow for the gauge string

I have good results with a Graph-Tech Nut

Thanks I'm not sure that's the issue. But I'll give a new nutt a try

What string gauges are you using?  They may be too light.

10's...... But I've been a Luthier / repairman for nearly 50 years and that was the first thing I checked... But thanks for the reminder

I'm gonna install  a different nutt this weekend and see If that helps

Okay, you guys sold me on this too. Gotta get the guitar together with what I already have and see how it works before adding a new toy...

I could wait, but that wouldn't give me enough time to get used to the guitar before I want to be doing some songs with it in September.
