Well, the Amplification topic is somewhat confusing for me not being an engineer.
Recently I have two B210D in the house, thanks to wife and her sister recent buy due to the need to play their Voice,Piano Keyboard & Sax show at small venues with a lighter but powerful equipment.
I have tried B210D https://www.music-group.com/Categories/Behringer/Loudspeaker-Systems/Portable-Speakers/B210D/p/P0976 with GT-1 and VG-99. Still have to test with GP10.
Given that Katana range seems not to be a good choice for synth sounds (mainly GR300 and synth pads) how do you rate the usage of a stereo pair (or mono) of B210D for guitar only, using COSM AMP, versus using GP10 / GT-1 front of Katana (with no COSM AMP selected in either GT-1 or GP10) or Guitar and Katana only?

I have a Fender Studio 65 from late 80's with a 12" Celestion Cone that needs some restoring work (deox and cleaning) but I used it when I didn't know of Guitar Synths and modeling...

Moreover I am concerned about the real power of an amp (Monitor or AMP) B210D claims 200 Watts, my Guitar amp claims 65 Watts and it seems more powerful. I am sure I'm mixing Apple and Oranges and missing something here. B210D are Class D and with a 10" Cone.

Thanks in advance and sorry for the noobie question. (in the last years I played live with VG99 hooked to FOH PA Mixer).

Easy answer,

If you play predominantly Synth tones , use the B210D PA speakers

If you play predominantly Electric Guitar tones ,try a Boss Katana

And it depends on the venue and type of band.

Myself , 90% of my gigs they do not want my guitar tones in the PA, only vocals and some kick drum , and I play mostly guitar tones , thus my choice for Katana as it's great all by itself

Thanks Elantric!
You reminded me of the faces that FOH guys did when I hooked VG99 directly to their mixer in the past.
They like you to have your guitar tone in your amp and then get a line from it or even better mike your amp with a Shure.
From your answer, behind the lines I read that B210D are not a good choice for E. Guitar sounds even with COSM AMP in.
.. and that a best of both worlds cannot be easily achieved. It's always a compromise or like someone as pointed out on another thread
you can send the synth output to FOH or B210D and keep the E. Guitar in your Katana... or if you have only 2 to 3 synth solos to perform
you can do it with the Katana anyway... right?

Actually those are OK for VGuitar  - I still own a pair of the older Behringer 12" versions (B212XL), and prefer those to my EV ELX12P powered cabs.

But when I play electric guitar live (no synth ) - I still prefer a genuine "back line"  guitar amp  loaded with guitar speakers, and the Boss Katana is my current choice. Blame it on old habits I cultivated for past 45 years.
