has anyone used a sonuus g2m with gr-55 ? if not, can anyone please tell me is it possible to use them both.

Elantric

Sure why not?

Just feed the G2M with your normal guitar signal via 1/4" guitar cord.

thanks elantric, well please correct me if i'm wrong, as far as my knowledge g2m has a normal gtr input & a 5 pin output, should i connect the 5 pin midi cable to the midi out of gr-55.

What are you trying to achieve?
the GR-55 does what the Sonuus does but much better.
The GR-55 can output guitar to midi - polyphonic (per string)
the Sonuus can output guitar to midi - monophonic (one string at a time)

The GR-55 does not play synth notes from external midi,
and you can not connect two midi outputs together without a midi data merge device.
I suspect you are trying to play the GR-55 internal synth with the Sonuus connected to a regular guitar maybe?

I think the GR-55 will give the least latency,
and remember the Sonuus G2M is monophonic,
so you can only use it while playing one string on your guitar.

For sure, compared to the SONUUS G2M, the GR-55 will  be polyphonic.
Details on correctly setting the GR-55's Guitar to MIDI functions is here:

New Sonuus GTM "V3"

The G2M V3
The new G2M version 3, or "G2M V3" for short, replaces the G2M version 2 AND the B2M.

We have made many upgrades and improvements - many of them in response to your feedback. We have tweaked and improved the note detection and the tracking, we have replaced the PP3 battery with the option to use either a single AA or a standard 9V DC power supply, and we have introduced a set of DIP switches inside the battery compartment that let you configure your instrument (guitar, 4-string bass, 5-string bass or voice/instrument) and your MIDI set up.

All this and we have kept the price the same!
