I want to be able to play along with MP3 backing tracks from my laptop. I'm running WIN7.
If I have the VG99 connected to the laptop with USB and the VG99 output to my amp is there any way to get the audio sound routing thru the VG99 into the amp also. It wouldn't be so much of a problem if I had a couple of inputs on my amp but I only have one. I have tried using a small mixer taking the sound from the VG99 and from the 6mm jack socket in the laptop and although this worked to a degree was getting a lot of noise as well.
I seem to remember the VG8 had a line in which was ideal for this kind of thing.
Cheers.

You can set the VG-99 as Win7 default Audio Device in the Win7 Control Panel

However, the "hurdle" will be that the VG-99 will Always momentarily mute the VG-99 Audio output anytime the VG-99 patch is changed - and this of course mutes your MP3 playback too.

An External Mixer is best.
