Gumtown,

I'm experimenting with the GT100 FxFloorBoard, and I'm trying to understand how it does (or does not) respond in real rime.

For a trial, I selected Patch P01-3 Natural Clean.  It comes up as Preamp A, and all plays well.  I press the Accel/Ctl pedal, and don't see anything change on the FxFloorBoard screen, however, the patch has changed from Amp A (Natural Clean) to Amp B (Combo Crunch) with all its gain and drive settings.  I only realised this by looking at the Boss Tone Studio, which showed the change following the pedal press.

Is there some way to see this occur on the screen on FxFloorBoard?  (Now that I know what happens, I can go into different screens in FXFloorboard, such as the Pedal/FX button, and see from there what the Accel/Ctl pedal is assigned to, but I wouldn't have known to go looking there just by using FxFloorBoard on its own).

Kind regards

gumtown

The Tone Studio editor does some new type of editor stuff that is quite unique, by placing the GT-100 into a midi verbose mode, by use of some secret code.
The GT-100 FxFloorBoard editor is unable to work in exactly the same way, but in a similar fashion, by enabling "Auto Sync".
This will periodically read the current patch data from the GT-100, refreshing every 2 seconds.
It works well but can get in the way of real-time editing sometimes.

With Auto Sync enabled, you will see in real-time the results of parameter changes from GT-100 pedal presses or assign automation.

Thanks, Gumtown,

I had seen the "Auto Sync" but wasn't sure if it would overwrite  any trial changes I might make in a User patch, even if I made mistakes and didn't want to write.  But having used it now following your suggestion, I can see things working in relatively real time.

Kind regards

updated the mac version, using an installer to place the App into the Applications folder, and the data/settings and patches into the Users/Shared folder.
I hope this will resolve the mac file write permissions issue, preventing the midi/USB device selection settings from being saved.
