Atmos is the first piece on my first pressed ambient CD I released "A Passage from the Vault of Hours".

It's also the last piece on my rock cd, "A Passage from the Vault of Hours".

The track was done in one sitting about two summers ago but I never thought I would be able to do it live - it was just too layered and it was the first patch I did on the VG-99 that showed its real potential for ambient music.

But I always thought it would be kind of cool to be able to try to do it.  This was attempt two.  There's lots of little inversions and extremely subtle timbre and melodic shifts to get the right feel.

Last night I tried to work up an arrangement that would work in live performance and there it was - I just used a modified LuxeOrchestra patch (basically two LuxeOrchestras one on A and another on B and then some added reverb/delay) and it wasn't too difficult.  Later on I used some other patches you might be familiar with.

Enjoy.

This stuff is just great. Love it to the max.  8)
A stellar experience if using a good pair of cans. AKG K701 ftw.
To V or not to V: That is the question.
