I have downloaded the new demo version of Scuffham (some 300 MB), but when I want to use it, it shows: "demo expired".
It's a pitty, because if I could hear that it's a good plugin, I would surely buy it.
I remember that an earlier version was not quite right for me... today some sound demos on the Scuffham website sound excellent to me!

I have not had any problems with Jamup but I dont use Audiobus or any other app other than the Blueboard when I run it.

As Elantric has suggested a second ipad is probably a good idea depending on what you want to do.

Apple sells refurbished certified ipads thats where I got mine.

Eventually I will have one running SLM for charts and patch changes and a second for running an amp/effects sim.

Or an Android tablet running SLM and the ipad doing audio ios tasks.

I keep trying to run JamUp or Bias in Cubasis via AudioBus, and it seems really unstable.  It's possible I just don't understand the "rules of engagement", in terms of the proper order and method of launching all the apps, etc.  But I've tried a lot of variations, all of which seem sensible and appear to be supported, and JamUp/Bias will just randomly stop producing audio or responding to touch input, and then Cubasis reports that I need to re-launch, close, and reinsert them.  It's basically unusable, which is a shame, because Bias + Cubasis would be a powerhouse of a portable studio.

I splurged and purchased the separate Jamup Up Pro Plug in for Auria DAW - and that provides another  platform for flexible  / stable audio

But Positive Grid missed the boat by ignoring the importance of MIDI CONTROL ( does not exist in any version of BIAS  - even the $199 Desktop version has zero MIDI control! ) and STEREO FX ( None of Positive Grids apps support Stereo)

I completely agree with this.  The lack of comprehensive midi control sent me back to amplitube.  I'm now trying Yonac's Tone Stack.  What it lacks in terms of amp model accuracy (which isn't a lot really) and customization seems made up for in flexibility and quality of the effects, which are much better than those in Jamup, IMO.  Having the possibility of parallel chains on an iPhone is pretty crazy too.

I feel 100% the same !

I'll have to get back to ToneStack, and see if it sort of splits the difference between JamUp's great tone and Amplitube's great features.  I do remember really liking ToneStack in the brief time I worked with it (less latency at the time, and a cool tape deck for backing tracks), just not quite as much as JamUp/Bias.

I wasn't even aware this existed.  I'll have to look into it - though I'm starting to have this shifty feeling like I've purchased JamUp 3 or 4 times over LOL.

Bigger problem is I don't use Auria much since MIDI tracks usually figure in for me at some point.  Cubasis fits the bill better there.

If I was trying to record with this stuff I can see how enticing doing demos/ writing with an ipad would be.My son uses a mac laptop 2012 Reason and a POD 2.0 or my ipad Jamup. He gets pretty good results he is happy with. Jamup is definitely a live type of thing or practice rehearsal setup. Amplitube is cool feature wise but I haven't figured out how to get any tones out of it yet that make me want to use it.I hope that will change but I know you have to spend time with these things.

and then their is The Flying Haggis!

Note this is not just for new customers.

App Store bundle pricing is a little confusing.  If you already own one or more of Positive Grid's apps, this is well worth investigating.  In my case, I had already purchased Jamup XT Pro and BIAS.  With the bundle, I was able to snag Final Touch for free.  The "Buy" button instead said "Get".  This has happened to me with a couple of developers where I already owned most of their apps, and was able to grab up the remaining app in the bundle without additional cost.

I think the App Store basically calculates what you've already paid for products in the bundle (including if you got them on sale, etc.), and only charges you the difference between what you've paid and the bundle price.

Others who own PG apps may be able to complete this bundle free or at a discounted price.

I start rehearsals for the next three Follys Pool shows next week.Last night it was nice to setup my ipad/ Jamup and Blueboard rig and import the tunes one by one into the jam along player and start reviewing and learning a couple new tunes from the bands older albums.I remember using a Sony Walkman and a Scholz Rockman and a bunch of other crap back in the day for rehearsing/practicing. Things have changed a lot lol!

This week of Thanksgiving I am indeed very grateful for all of this technology that has made my musical life so much easier and fun!
Thanks to all on this forum and I hope everyone enjoys a Holiday break and finds some peace.

Next secret weapon is Yamaha THR SESSION IPHONE application.

This runs on iPad too and let's you isolate instruments and slow down section and maintain pitch. Free in the iTunes store.

But like many useful IOS audio apps  this no longer works with IOS 8 (and  Apple still wonders why folks are slow to upgrade!)

Elantric

Just want to report  I have one IOS 8 device - and iPhone 6 plus running IOS 8.1.2

And these work

Positive Grid BIAS version 1.5.7.2525, DSP Engine 237 works
-but I detect higher latency compared to the 1st release of BIAS back in December 2013

and

Jamup Pro XT version 3.6.6.1079, DSP Engine 237 works too.

I'm really enjoying Jamup Pro for practicing.  I have the $5.99 version (on sale).  Do they ever drop the price for the whole thing?  It has been at $49.99 for a while now.  I was able to get Ampkit + for $20 (everything) and ToneStack for $25 (everything).  I don't like Ampkit and Jamup Pro is the perfect practice tool.

What's New in Version 3.6.21
Hi there,

We have been working hard for our over 2 million JamUp users, and now it is performing better than ever! We fixed the amp edit function and solved the avatar crashing bug. We also got rid of the bug that caused JamUp to crash when exporting songs from the 8-track module, as well as fixing the load song option in JamPlayer, and other minor fixes.

Our new BIAS Head - Amp Match Amplifier sold out the first 2 pre-orders in just 2 days! Stay tuned for pre-order #3 coming very soon.

Like the look of this app very much especially to tonecloud
Using the free app it every time I try and access a tone from tonecloud it points me to in app purchases and they're all expensive. At only £4.99 for the pro model I somehow doubt that includes all the extras
I'm only interested in Jamup not the other more professional versions so is there a pack that will cover all needed to use all tones in tonecloud?
Thanks
