After fighting, succeeding, then failing later with an old 2013 iMac, I had to give this a try with my 2018 MacBook Pro running Monterey v12.6. I downloaded and installed Crossover Version 22.1 (22.1.0.35672) two days ago. That's the version that the website provided, so I didn't look for a later one. I can run Roland VG-99 Editor and Librarian. SO easy! I downloaded the PC version of VG-99FloorBoard_windows_setup.exe from sourceforge.net, but I can't get that to work.
I did get a popup telling it couldn't complete a part of the install, but sadly, I only remember it said something about SWGEmu. I know, unforgivable, but like I said, the Editor and Librarian work.

@Vaultnaemsae , If I uninstall and reinstall, any words of wisdom beforehand?

Thanks!

Firstly, try to find version 21.2 of Crossover as I could not get version 22.1 to work (not for want of trying) so I'm not sure why yours would work and I anticipate you will have issues at some stage if you stick with the newer version.

Please note, there is a macOS version of VG-99FloorBoard so you don't need to go through the hassle of installing the Windows version through Crossover. But I've had mixed results with it on my devices so I tend to stick to the official Roland apps for reliability. I'm not familiar with "SWGEmu" so can't help there sorry. I can say that not all Windows apps will install through Crossover, it's a bit of a luck-of-the-draw situation. For example, I couldn't get the FAMC LiquidFoot+ software editor to install.

Sorry, not clear on what you are planning on uninstalling but I tend to use a free app called "AppCleaner" for macOS to help with suuninstalling mac apps. But if you want to uninstall an app from Crossover you would typically just delete the bottle that that the app you wish to remove was installed into.

Hope this helps.

I was thinking I would uninstall CrossOver itself because of the error I got, but it works in Ventura too. I updated this morning. No clue why 22.1 works here but didn't for you. I'll search for 21.2.

Also, if you get a chance (asking a lot, I know), could you take a look at my post (https://www.vguitarforums.com/smf/index.php?msg=260508)? It's gotta be something simple I'm missing when trying to run Colin's floorboard.

Thanks!

To be clear, CrossOver loads and so does the VG Editor but I can't select the midi ports within the app...one is not registering. Codeweavers acknowledged an issue but offered no fix. FYI,I'm running Ventura 13.2.1 on an M1 Mac primarily...the video I made featured an Intel Mac but same issues occurred. Will look at your other post ;)

Is there maybe an uninstaller for CrossOver in the installer package?

There was just the CrossOver.app in the zip file download. I guess that means I can drag into the trash bin and reinstall. There is no shared folder for the app. Thanks for taking a look at my other post.

Just a heads up, Crossover 22.1 has solved the connection problems that existed since the introduction of version 22 on Intel and M1/M2 Macs.

Latest Ventura security update on Intel broke version 21.2. M1 seems to work OK with 21.2 but good to know you can update to the latest without concern over it breaking.
