Here are a few patches that can use sequences in different ways than the normal use case.  They often have 3 sequences out of phase (different sequence lengths) and use wave pedals and 3 or more CTL pedals (usually 1, 2, 3 can hold the respective sequences of osc1, 2 and 3.  CTL 4 is sometimes set to tap BPM.  The way I play with these is you can hold 1, 2, or all 3 oscillators and take turns adding one in/out (changing the starting pitch) or push the hold button on silence to remove the oscillator from the sound.  With the guitar you can then solo over, add more lines, harmonies, textures, etc...  Some added descriptions https://bosstoneexchange.com/liveset/93af09c1-b435-4ebe-bfcc-fee91c909578/

Sorry for the slow reply, I needed to find a way to upload the music here (there's a file size limit) so I joined soundcloud.  These are all 1 take improvisations (warts and all) and are created by just plugging the SY-300 directly to the computer.  For the two songs with phase in the title I start it out just playing each sequencer (off the same note) so you can hear the individual sequences.  The song titled 3SeqPhaseDemo uses the tempo shift (BPM tap) around 2:03 to slow down the sequences.  The SlowFade track was done with 7 string with a B/G bender and the others on a 6 string.
