Hey there,

Has anyone here tried placing the GK 13pin output jack in the cover of the electronics cavity?  I am thinking of getting a Ghost system Floyd Rose with the Hexpander but I would like the whole thing to be reversible.  I figured that if the output was in a really sturdy cavity cover I could use a right angle 13pin jack to run the cable out from behind the guitar and it would make the install mush less traumatic to the guitar. Does this idea make sense to those who have seen the parts required for a Hexpander output jack? Thanks!

(By the way I have already done something similar by installing a GK-3 on a JPX and running the pickup wire through the tremolo cavity.  Then I mounted the control switches and output on the back of the guitar right next to the two standard jacks.)

this shouldn't be a problem.  the jack is mounted to a board but isn't very large and will probably fit in most cavities no matter which way it is oriented.

There was a post about a year or two ago, where someone had made,
and was selling a GK socket and S1/S2 + GK Vol adapter that replaced the strat angled input socket,
fitted in place of it so the guitar is unmarked.
