I was wondering what you guys thought was the ideal travel setup for headphone use?

-------------------------------------------
TLDR

I've come to the conclusion that I would probably go with either a BR-80 or a PX5D and use it with an iPhone/iPad + USB Camera Connection Kit + JamUp App.

I'm kind of leaning towards the BR-80 because the dial and screen make it look easier to use than the PX5d. I am familiar with the COSM tones from the GR-55, they don't really blow my socks off, but in a portable unit I'd be happy with them.

Do I have the wrong end of the stick? Would I be just as happy with the PX5D and save $100? Should I be looking at something else to travel with?

QuoteBR-80 or a PX5D and use it with an iPhone/iPad + USB Camera Connection Kit + JamUp App.

Problem is the BR80 is NOT USB Class Compliant - so forget about using it with iPad

The Korg  PX5D or Zoom G3 or (my current favorite) Sonuus i2M all DO work as Audio interface for iPad and JamUp Pro XT is excellent.

More here about JamUp Pro XT:

The smallest form factor  Sonuus i2M + Camera Kit + Ipad

The Sonuus i2M is a VERY unique device worth reading about - its also a mono MIDI Interface too.

QuoteYamaha THR10X FTW !!!!

Too bad the Yamaha THR10 is NOT USB Class Compliant, so it can not be used as an audio interface for recording with  iPad - really bone headed move by Yamaha, as they have several home keyboards that Do have USB Class Compliant audio hardware

My Fender G-DEC 3 Thirty is a much better option IMHO.
