Hi

Stumbled  across  this  last  night...
Anyone  used  this  or  has  one ? As  it  sure  looks  interesting !!
I've  already  got  a  VG-99.....
Is  this  different  to  that ?  Or  same  sort  of  thing !!
Any  advantage  having  this  as  well  as  VG-99 ?
Cheers

Q... What kind of advice can you give me ?   Tommy Emmanuel's reply ....

You move your hand Up and Down that long bit and the music comes out of that Big Black Box behind you !!

It is a lovely bit of kit and is Axon's take on the Roland GR series guitar synths.

Very good but hard to track down these days due to the company stopping making them which also makes them more expensive than the Roland ones.

If you want full on synth sounds like Piano, organs. pads and lead synth sounds etc then it is a great addition.

Thanks  Johnnyurq

Wasn't  sure  if  this  was  new  or  old......Your  right  can't  find  it  in  Australia !!

I  can  get  those  sounds  you  mention  out  of  my  Virus  Ti
using  Guitar  to  Midi  with  VG-99

I  was  looking  for  that  Axe  fx  thingamy.....When  I  stumbled  on  this.

Thanks  for  the  heads  up  on  this.

Cheers  To  Ya

That Axon AX100 MKII is circa 2003.

Sadly=, effective 2009, Axon products are no longer in production, but there is nothing  wrong with owning a used one. A few dealers may actually have New ones still in stock.  This is the problem with ALL MIDi guitar gear. It is not the type of product that fly's off the store shelves!

The hurdle in the long run will be lack of updated Axon Drivers to run the Axon AX-100 Editor on future OS systems. But might be able to get around that limitation by using Sun Virtual Box running WinXP in a virtual PC under Win 7 64.

And in many countries, including the  USA getting an Axon serviced in a swift manner is near impossible.

Terra Tech (of Germany) was the last distributor

I would buy a Used one -  if only I  could obtain the factory Service Manual first.
. . . the future ain't what it used to be . . .
