Hi all,

For those that may find this interesting. I have reversed engineered some MIDI communications of the Waza Air in order to being able to change presets via MIDI from a Wireless foot controller. Unfortunately, BOSS did not make use of standard PC messages nor discloses any other information. I wish the make this more accessible.

Below the MIDI SysEx messages that would change presets. The first message is a sort of handshake and the second is the actual preset change.

It's my understanding the Waza AIR and Katana AIR employ same Bluetooth xceiver as used in GT-1000

It was recently discovered that the Korg BLE driver for Mac or Windows can locate the GT-1000 as  BLE MIDI Device

Might also work with WAZA AIR

I discovered by accident that on Mac OS it is possible to connect Tone Studio to the GT-1000 via Bluetooth. I had installed a utility by Korg called "Bluetooth MIDI Connect" intended for their bluetooth MIDI keyboards as I was hooking up a Microkey AIR. The software auto detected my GT and offered to connect (I've enjoyed using the iPad version of Tone Studio to tweak patches so I had Bluetooth on already), which it did. I removed the USB cable, and Tone Studio launched and found the GTK over bluetooth and works just fine, and at about the same speed. Pretty slick.

The Korg keyboard software is available for Windows so I would guess it could work the same way. I think its called BLE-MIDI Driver

Very cool. I'm trying to get this to work w xsonic airstep. It sends Sysex but only 5 bytes. My the core 1000 preset will work. You can download the airstep app for free. Let me know if someone can help.
