I have found the above useful back in the day,
I do not own hollow body guitars, however by looking at the PRS mentioned in your post you have other options but you can ruin the paint of your guitar or change the esthetic ( reversible) if you add a veneer and fix it below the humbucker ring and cut to size, then you can install the gk3 on the exposed wood without touching your guitar body. However after many years if discoloration happens because of light and atmo the body under the veneer will discolor differently so I would use Roland way.
