Our church is doing a song by Phil Wickham called the secret place.
There is a keyboard solo that I am wanting to reproduce on the GR55.
I believe it to be a synth keyboard but not sure what the effect is the he is using.

Here is a youtube of the song.

I guess I'm really looking for a place to start.
Thanks.

Doesn't sound too hard to manage. On a GR-55, you want to look for a core PCM sound that gets you in the ballpark. Sampled and stringy sounding. It uses mostly single lines, which should track well.

Then, muck around with Verbs, choruses, and even maybe a flanger. Notice that the core sound has. a clear, sampled vibe to it. If you miss picking up on that, you may have your sound drift too far away down the road.

Flanger. Hadnt thought of that.
Thanks.

You can also fake a bit of the way a sample sounds cut off, by using a Noise Suppress effect with the threshold set ridiculously, so it acts like a clumsy noise gate.

Oh, almost forgot: put the noise gate LAST, after the reverb.

You all are great!  I'll give these a try. Thank you.
