I got a gently used Boss Pocket GT ($115) - and I must say this is already a good sounding and versatile tool

While some youtube content refuses to run in the Boss Tone Studio for Pocket Studio Session manager  - many vids do play and the built in transport keys work on my tested Windows 8.1 and Android 12 devices.
The Center Cancel works very well -

and the unit has a very low noise floor. I suspect its the identical Boss DSP as Waza Air headphones  - all same sounds - without the Gyro postioning nonsense and $500 price

And built in Tuner ! ( missing on competing mini practice  units)

I updated mine to latest FW 1.30  - and will test its USB Audio / MIDI.

Rumour is this may work with Android devices as Audio interface ( as does the Boss GT-1)  - to be determined

Many may consider alternative competing units : Mustang Micro, NUX Mighty Plug Pro

Owning all those - each has issues. the NUX Mighty Plug Pro has a high noise floor which can not be disabled. I find they can be fragile as the common Les Paul type Guitar output jack presents a lot of stress on the folding 1/4" Input jack on the others  - and lower run time due to smaller battery

The Pocket GT sounds very good - drives all my headphones very well and is verstaile with its hardware TRS Stereo AUX Input ( missing on the others)
I can understand if the user has no prior Bleutooth Audio vs Bluetooth BLE connection experience - the Pocket GT may seem confusing. And its Session manager will not allow "protected youtube content" from official band sites to load - but most links do work

I disregarded this unit at $250

But today its common to find it for $125 new

I give it a 9 out of 10

Quote from: admin on February 21, 2023, 05:08:17 PMbut the Boss Pocket GT under $129 has so many more useable features for my needs

I just watched the Sweetwater demo for the Pocket GT. IT HAS THE PROGRAMMABLE PATCH CHANGE FEATURE !!!! YES!!! This is the feature I could not get to work on the MPP. How is the BT connectivity on this. With the Waza Airs it can be a bit finicky at times but not to bad.

Gibson Les Paul Custom
Epi Les Paul Standard
Gibson SG 50's prototype
Squire classic vibe 60's
Epi LP Modern
Epi SG Custom
Martin acoustic

Princeton chorus 210

GT100
GR-55
Helix LT
Waza Air Headphones
Boomerang III

And, a lot of stuff I DON'T need

Boss Pocket GT Works very well - still my fave

Using Android 12 90% of time always stays connected

Sounds like a Waza Air, without the Gyro axis head positioning

Compare each Parameter guides Pocket GT vs Waza Air - same amps & FX. And Pocket GT has an excellent headphone Amp - Much better than those mini  folding plug DSP Amp modelers ( Mustang Mini, Mighty Plug, DNA FX GiT Mini

Due to Pocket GT's Center Cancel Aux Input ( for learning songs)  and the auto patch change within BTS - its a better mobile tool vs the similar sounding Boss GT-1 ( very underated floor MFX)

Ands its flawless 24 bit Stereo USB Audio I/O on Android/Chromebook ( not possible on apple IOS though)

here is correct cable for Boss Pocket GT Audio USB  recording with  Android 12 devices  with USB-C

If you have a Pocket GT before Serial number A8M6412 it is 32 bit audio in and out!

Cool - it's why I purchased a open box return from Sweetwater $115 - hoping I got an older one

Mine is S/N A4M3116

No wonder it sounds clean as a whistle and NO HISS

Apparently
2020 - 2021 Pocket GT with S/N A4Mxxxx =32 bit

Late 2021 to current Pocket GT with S/N A8Mxxxx =24 bit
