Hi, I have a GT-10 and want to use the midi (or usb) function to control the Reverb on/off on my QSC TM-16 mixing desk.
The desk uses midi over usb.
It's a compromise as QSC decided the only pedals they've approved start at $100+, so if I can switch Fx using my GT all I need to buy is a cable, right?

Anyone tried this or similar?

Quote2 The TouchMix supports "class compliant" USB MIDI devices. QSC has verified proper operation with these USB MIDI footswitches: iCON G-BOARD and
Logidy UMI3

In Theory - as long as your Touchmix16  has the very latest Firmware  - you may use the TM-16's rear USB Host port to connect a USB Class Compliant USB<>MIDI cable to provide 5pin MIDI Input to the Touchmix 16

Connect the USB<> MIDI Cable's 5pin "MIDI IN plug into the GT-10 MIDI OUT
Connect the USB<> MIDI Cable's USB plug intop the TM-16 rear USB Host port

The usb side will need a computer between the devices, running the required usb driver software.
A midi cable will work direct, gt10 midi out to desk midi in.
The gt10 sends program change (pc) with the patch & bank pedals, and sends continuous controller (cc#) with EXP  and CTL pedals. The cc# number can be allocated in the gt10 system midi menu.
