Hey Guys!  I would like to find some patches that are useful at church worship band settings.  Basically, the tones you hear on the contemporary christian radio stations.  Please point me in the right direction.

I have used the VG-99 in church worship for a long time. The last three years I am using the GR-55 and the GP-10. Some of the tones I have used:

Amp tones:

And also I use acoustic tones, but they come mostly from my guitar, the Crafter TMVS. Here is an example of my acoustic sound:

But the styles in church worship are very different from one church to the next. Anything from acoustic to rock, jazz, country, fusion, alternative rock, etc. I must have played them all...

Thanks sixeight!  The style we play is contemporary christian rock......lots of reverb and delay.

Here is an example of some of the tones I'm after.  Why did you switch to GR-55?

QuoteWhy did you switch to GR-55?

I wanted a smaller setup and use PCM sounds at the same time. I went from Roland VG-99 plus FCB1010 plus Macbook for synth sounds to the GR55. Setup time was reduced from 15 minutes to five. And I wanted to be able to take my setup on my bicycle.

Setup time was also long because of my multicable: https://www.vguitarforums.com/smf/index.php?topic=1369.0

Here us my journey with the GR55: https://www.vguitarforums.com/smf/index.php?topic=10337.0

Now I am really digging the GP10 because of the way the amp models respond to play nuances. Something I could not get right on the VG99. I occasionally use the GR55 when I am short of a bass or keyboard player. Also built a VController which makes my setup larger again. But I can find my patches so much easier.

I am trying to keep things simple in a church setting, but I don't not always succeed.

The 99 can be set up to react dynamically like an amp but it's not immediately obvious on how this is done.

Some of my better "amp-like" patches I keep the GK volume halfway between zero and max since it seems to function more dynamically that way.  I'm not sure why, just that it's something I've discovered no matter what level the gain is set at.  I usually run my GK sensitivity at 22-25.   I may do a video explaining what I've found.
