FM synth sound and cranked Fender Twin.
All 1/4 in, and can be done on the SY-1000 as well as the SY-300.
Both units have such great amp sounds now.
Boss has gotten that together feel wise. Between the GT-1000 and all their newer SY stuff they as good as all the rest out there.
The playing field has been leveled in my ears.

There's non as such but I'm guessing Mr Ruppert is using ring modulation
to produce a FM like sound.
(FM and AM have things in common with RM)
Only a guess though.

I play Country music too, I'm just not sure which country it's from...

Great demo - cool playing too.  And yes, I'm finding the amp sounds on the SY are so good I'm almost using it to the exclusion of all else.

Yes on the last page of Osc's 2 and 3 you have options for ring mod and sync.
This uses osc 1 as an operator, like in a DX7 FM synth.
Great wirey bass sounds as well.

It is the same on the SY-300 ,but the order of osc's in the scheme is a bit different.
Other wise sounds can be the same

I especially dig the drive sounds, the way you did that really gave it the "loud amp" type feel.

I see by your page Bill that not only did you do a cool Wurly piano but some cool polysynths AND you managed to do shimmer.   I also note that despite what some have said, the reverb sounds in your demos are great.

Neat to hear you do a kind of "Holdsworth, if he were bluesier" feel.

Thanks Todd
Yes the reverb's are all SY.
I like them.
I have an RV-500 I was going to add, but never needed it.

The amps now feel as good as all the others on the market.
10 years ago it was hard. The amp stuff always felt sticky with no air around it.

And with Boss/Roland EQ's I can get what ever it is I want to hear.
Great EQs!

Takes me back to the days of first using a DOS based sequencer (Voyetra) and OPL3 FM synth tones (8bit Soundblaster).  :-X
But you make it sound good !!  ;D
