ATG software is organized as Feature Packs. The guitar holds six Feature Packs, one for each string. To activate a Feature Pack, you turn off ATG, pluck a single string and then immediately power-on the guitar. If a feature pack has been installed on that string, then it is activated. Otherwise, the previously activated feature pack is activated.
That may be true for the ATG INTERNAL LUTHIER KIT or ATG-1 FLOOR

I believe the OP has a stock non upgraded Peavey AT-200  - he reports he can install them using ATG Settings Manager, but he can not "ACTIVATE" them.
AFAIK -  in March 2020 its impossible to add and ACTIVATE these optional Feature packs to a stock non updated Peavey AT-200 Guitar.
Antares has not unlocked these added cost AT-200 Feature Packs for AT-200 owners, at any cost or offering them for free. They remain a dead option

5 years ago Antares offered a few tiers of optional AT-200 "Feature Pack" upgrades, which cost $$

These optional firmware "Feature Pack" Upgrades were specific to the Peavey AT-200 -
since the Peavey AT-200 did not sell in significant numbers, this scheme failed to generate the anticipated revenue for Antares, and played a large role with Antares new owners in 2017 to elect to end production and support for Antares AutoTune for Guitar product line.

Today if you own a stock non upgraded Peavey AT-200, AFAIK its impossible install and ACTIVATE any optional AT-200 "Feature Pack" upgrades

But the actual ANTARES ATG LUTHIER KIT and ATG-1 Floor both include the $199 "COMPLETE PACK FEATURE PACK" and all its features as stock.
Read the details here:

The ATG-1 Floor had an optional "Pedal Steel Feature Pack"  - and likewise, today in 2020 owners of  non upgraded ATG-1 Floor models can NOT add or install the optional "Pedal Steel Feature Pack" - only available for the ATG-1 Floor.

I thought pm85 wanted to activate the demo packs. The procedure I posted is the right way to activate those demos.
Of course upgrading to the other non-demo packs is not possible right now.

I have a AT-200 - but it came fully loaded with the "COMPLETE PACK" , so I never experienced the AT-200"Demo Packs" or was aware of them ;)

Antares releases Software Feature Packs for the Peavey AT-200 Auto-Tune guitar

Antares Audio Technologies have announced that that a free update to the original Peavey AT-200 software, three free demo features, and the first three Software Feature Packs for the Peavey AT-200 guitar are now available from the Auto-Tune for Guitar web site.

The three demo features (an acoustic guitar model, open E tuning and a 5 semitone up capo setting) and the update to the original Peavey AT-200 software are free for all current AT-200 owners and simply require them to log into their accounts on the Auto-Tune for Guitar web site, where they will find the new software in their web-based Guitar Manager.

The three new Software Feature Packs, the Essential Pack ($99), the Pro Pack ($199) and the Complete Pack ($299) add a variety of powerful new features to the AT-200, including (in the Complete Pack) 10 guitar models, 12 alternate tunings, 8 doublings (12-strings, octavers, etc.), capo settings, global transposition, fine tuning, MIDI control, the ability to save and load presets and more.

The new features can be accessed directly from the AT-200 fretboard via the new Auto-Tune for Guitar Fret Control system or from any MIDI controller, including Antares' free Auto-Tune for Guitar layout for the MIDI Designer Pro iPad app.

"We've been incredibly gratified by the overwhelmingly positive response to the AT-200 guitar and its Auto-Tune for Guitar technology," said Henrik Bridger, Auto-Tune for Guitar Product Manager. "With these new Software Feature Packs, we're offering AT-200 owners an entirely new range of powerful creative possibilities, many never before possible on any guitar. We're really looking forward to hearing what guitarists will do with them."

Hi,
I managed to control the guitar with this ATG-Control VST plugin.
But talking about Fret Control, everything seems to be a mess. Nothing is where it should be.
Is there a RESET function for the Fret Control, to put all options in the right places?
Thank you!

Myself I never want " Fret CONTROL= ON.

Its proved to be source of disaster with random unexpected/ unintended behavior  at rehearsals and live gig

That is correct. I tried to use the demo packs. I was able to transfer the free demo/trial packs (Capo, Open E, Acoustic) to the Guitar via Roland-UM-One Mk2 connected to the AT-200B Breakout Box within the ATG Software Manager, but i was unable to use them.
I tried the method that you described (1. power off, 2. plucking the string with one of the trial packs in the corresponding slot, 3. power on while the string is still vibrating) but it didn`t seem to work as it`s supposed to. It was still only using the stock setting.
Next I am going to try different slots for the free demo packs and will report back if it worked. Just havn`t gotten around to do it yet.
But even if it won`t work for me, with just the non upgraded stock software on the guitar it is still a very nice instrument with the option to change the tunings on the fly without having to adjust string tension or the truss rod. If needed I can use a normal capo and the implemented auto tune feature works as it should.
So i am a bit disappointed that it isn`t possible anymore to get the official full feature packs. But be that as it may, I am still more than happy with the stock features of the guitar.

The only way I know to soft reset ATG (not turning off and on again) is via MIDI SysEx. You would have to program an external device to send 2 SysEx messages.
If you have the one of the packs you can also store one "default" preset in the first position and use it as a starting point. Only caveat would be global transposing but that is pretty easy to reset too if you know well enough FretControl.

Update from me:
I transfered the free trial packs to different String Slots and now they are working for me.
At first it had AT-200 2.27 on slot #2 as default and all other slots were empty. When copying the free packs to the guitar it put them on slot #1, and slots #3 to #6 automatically.
-> couldn`t get them to work with the method cags12 described.

For testing purposes I manually deleted all packs and copied the stock AT-200 2.27 to Slot #1 and put all the free packs on slots #2 to #6.
-> now it works and I can activate and select them with the method mentioned above by cags12.

I don`t know what caused the problem in the first place. Maybe there is a software problem when the stock setting is not present on slot #1, but now it works as expected.
So, yay for me. And thank you all for the help that you have provided.

Cheers!

Thanks for taking a moment to share details about the solution you found.

Hi!

I lately got a AT-200 from my father that bought it back in 2013/2014. He didnt really use the guitar and I gladly take it to switch between tunings in Rocksmith.

Unfortunately the AT-200 is somewhat misconfigured(I guess), as the upper 3 Strings when in Autotune mode always have a certain amount of 'Dry' Sound - meaning original String tuning + Autotune tuning. Sounds absolutely horrible.

As you might have guessed, since 2014 any Software or Antares accounts were lost.
Is there any way to reset that thing to factory settings?

Thanks!
