Hello everyone,

I need some advice about how to eliminate an annoying crackling sound (distorsion?) when using the MG-30.

My setup:
- output mode studio direct
- speaker: Headrush FRFR 108, volume 7/10
- guitar: semi hollow neck pickup Seymour Duncan SH5 humbucker
- MG-30: no effects, no amp: everything is switched off (bypassed), volume knob about 10 o'clock

If I plug the guitar directly into the FRFR there is no crackling sound
When plugged into the MG-30 occasionally I can hear a crackling sound when strumming or picking arpeggios on the louder notes.

Any advice?

Some general advice... try a different cable from the MG-30 to the FRFR. Try going to headphones and see if the crackle still occurs (might be connector on the MG-30 instead of the cable).

Common issue , static discharge from pickguard is detected by mag pickups and output from guitar as rice crispy like "snap, crackle, pop" sounds  when strumming.

Tame it with grounded shielding foil under the plastic pick guard
