Quote from: Elantric on October 28, 2023, 11:58:42 AMAny plans for a GM-800 Editor?
Quote from: arkieboy on October 28, 2023, 12:50:12 PMI understand that the GM-800 doesn't expose its internals as sysex, so you can't address anything more than BTS allows for.Fixing this has to be the biggest request from the community, surely?
QuoteBenedetto SchiavoneAuthorIt is not possible to port my editor to the GM-800 because the editing of the Zen-core sounds takes place via MIDI Sysex and Roland, at least for now, has not included this possibility in the GM-800 firmware. The bank of 222 sounds, in addition to being used (without editing) on the GM-800, is also available for Zenology with which you can make all the changes, and then store them and load them onto the GM-800. By purchasing the bank, you get the version in .svz format that you can load on all Roland synths (including Zenology and GM-800) and in addition you have a version (.bin) that can only be used in Zenology with the reverbs already programmed.
Quote from: BROCKSTAR on October 28, 2023, 12:19:35 PMI bought these tones and they are excellent. Much better than 80% or more of the soundpacks roland / boss makes and puts out!

Obviously this could just be inconsistencies in the copy, but SOS usually have much better editorial standards than that.
Quote from: gumtown on October 29, 2023, 07:07:52 PMThe GR-55 seems to expose many synth parameters, does the GM-800 not have similar to this ?
Quote from: Best_Peasant on November 01, 2023, 07:10:43 AMThese Tones are excellent, especially the tones that pulse. (sorry, i dont have the terminology)
Quote from: Benis67 on November 05, 2023, 11:47:16 AMThank you! The ones you are referring to are the sounds obtained through the 8 STEP LFOs which allow you to create melodic and rhythmic sequences synchronized with the clock and transportable.
Quote from: rudi rudolf on November 08, 2023, 06:45:07 PMYes. And this really makes a difference! I like those phrase sounds very much, they are a game changer for me. Thank you!!! I even made an excel sheet with the corresponding tone numbers in the Boss editor tone browser. Now I can find them more easily, when I am looking for a specific sound... And yesterday I found those sounds mix excellent with samples in Native Instruments Kontakt. Amazing! B.t.w., the gm-800 is an incredible good guitar-to-midi system. So, pulsating phrase sounds mixed with lets say vocal phrases from Kontakt...what more can I want???
Quote from: Benis67 on November 20, 2023, 04:40:01 AMI'm glad you're using the "phrase sounds" of my bank. I'm already at work creating new sounds made with step LFOs. Using the sustain pedal it becomes possible to then "block" the sequence and proceed with improvisation. !!!
