Hey guys,
First time posting on any forum so I hope my style doesn't offend. I'm looking to use an SY1000 as my main effects rig and run it with an Aeros looper and a beat buddy to make songs. Has anyone tried this? I've been wondering about how to set up the MIDI control and where to place each pedal in my chain!

Ps: I just saw Tool and they are awesome, might try and make some tool sounds and a Lil one man tool set.
Pps: I was also wondering if the boss gt1 could be used as an expression pedal and control switch in some way!
Thanks!!

Greetings and Welcome !!

The GT-1 does not have a midi port, and I am 90% certain the EXP pedal and CTL switch do no emit any CC# data.

The SY-1000 has an effects loop, which can be placed anywhere in the SY signal chain, so your two options are in the S/R effect loop or at the output of the SY-1000.
The SY-1000 also has main and sub outputs which can also be split into 4 x independent mono outs, and each placed anywhere in the signal chain.

Hello.  I think it's better to put BeatBuddy as the source of the midi master clock.  Connect the SY-1000 Midi Input to the midi output of the drum machine.  In the SY-1000 settings, select external midi clock source.  Also enable midi clock transmission.  Connect the Looper's midi input to the SY-1000's midi output. In the looper settings, select an external midi clock source.

Good luck.
