I was wondering if you could convert the guitar signal either to a control voltage or a variable resistance of some sort, could you feed it into the exp2 Jack and have envelope effects? Gated reverb, dynaflanger, dynamic delay, dynamic mixing. The possibilities are endless with assigns. I remember gt stuff had built in envelope based assigns but it didn't have a usable attack release for me. I'm thinking for my gp-10. Any thoughts?

It could be possible with custom electronics.
It is a feature the GT10, GT-100 have, the ability to use the input level to either trigger an assign event at a certain level threshold, or do assign variable control based on the guitar signal level.
Very useful.
To use the EXP2 you would need guitar out > op-amp input > rectified DC > transistor shunt to emulate EXP pedal resistance decreasing as the amplitude increases.

Excellent. I reckon I could copy the envelope follower from an EHX bassballs (i love the feel of that pedal)..
