Hope it doesn't happen to you but in my Mac Mini M1 latest Monterey, when giving a name to a patch before writing it to the device, if you hit a lowercase 'e' then the emoticon box appears! No other app in my Mac behaves like that. Workaround is using Uppercase 'E' in names, as  CastlE instead of Castle.

Funny.
Hope it helps

Maybe you can type the desired name in a text file and copy and paste to the editor? Just an idea -- I dunno if it'll work.

Good idea, I'll test it! :-)

Tested - It works but it's cumbersome. :-) Thanks

I haven't checked in awhile but, I was pleased today when I saw on the Boss states the GP10 is now supported for the Mac M1 machines running Monterrey.... New driver with a special version of BTS...

Is this is what your running?

Thanks Pasha...

In this past month of working with this? I have not run into the E error in BTS (But, I always make my patches in digits & caps mostly anyway so...). A positive I suppose...

Beyond that, I'm really liking they do work quite well together. I wound up putting this M1/GP setup into a 'morning coffee' rig. And really have gotten back into the GP. Though I am finding myself now looking for more so...

Picked up a GR55 a few months ago... and after a few weeks of goofing with it, as nice as it is & its sounds are nice but it just seemed a bit restrictive. My voices from the GP to GR don't really mesh well (and vice versa) So I am thinking about splurging on a pair of SY-1000's now. (wife's going to probably kill me LOL)

I haven't tested with 12.5 Mac OS version I will next week.
For me GP10 works very well as a 'sounds machine' as well as an audio card. If only... it could take my Ibanez Bass Guitar with Active Circuit...I'd be even more happy... I had SY1000 for a week as testing machine. I have reported my findings in the approriate sub forum. In short I did not keep it. However I'm sure that you all guys here can make SY1000 shine. For me at that time it was really too much. But never say never.  8)
