Hi all ...

At the moment in my home studio I have the Alesis M1 Active Mk2 Studio Monitors.
I find these are OK in my setup & for the size of the room with iMac & RME 400 Firewire etc etc etc.
For doing mix downs & getting things just right etc.

But when I'm just Jamming / Experimenting & just Mucking about, acting like a 20yo  ;D
I don't really like running Guitars / Synths etc though these at a loud volume.
I know it's OK to do that.
But I have a fear I'm going to stuff these up one day  :-\  ...... Especially with the sounds that come out of my Virus Ti Synth.

So I'm thinking I might get something like these ..... The Mackie TH-12A
http://www.mackie.com/products/thump/

So then I can really 'Pump it up' & give the neighbours the tom tits !!   ;D
Could still do my recording though these.
Plus then save my Studio monitors for just that.

Anyone use these or something else like these in a similar situation ?
Or any other brand you may suggest ?

Any thoughts gratefully appreciated....

Oh ..... it is the right thing to do isn't it ?  :P

Thanks  ... Zum   :D
Q... What kind of advice can you give me ?   Tommy Emmanuel's reply ....

You move your hand Up and Down that long bit and the music comes out of that Big Black Box behind you !!

Those Mackie Thump speakers get high marks from many Modelling Amp users.

They were known as Tapco Thump until a year or two ago.
. . . the future ain't what it used to be . . .

Yep have seen pretty good reports on these & they should be the right size for me now & my future needs.
I don't need them any bigger or more powerful than those.

Those we're in my price range as well.   ;D

Ha Ha Ha ... Yep mums 70% deaf .... No drama at high volume there.
1 neighbour can't hear me at all, how ever loud it is.  :D
The others just moved in with 3 very young kids, so they won't hear me either with the
screaming of kids inside their house.  ;)
Plus ...
I just happen to back onto a large park with tennis courts etc & 98% of the noise goes that way.  ;D

Tony Bennett  ::)  Close ...... But
I know Kamahl lives near by, that's may-be who I hear  :P
