Well, I had my new guitar delivered  8)

No, not the Dark Fire - I'm still waiting for that after 9 months and 1 week  :(

This is my new PRS Custom 24 57/08 Limited Edition (300 of this model).  I ordered and paid for it on Tuesday (this week  ;D ).

I haven't had a chance to give it a good polish yet.

I have the following guitar only in red instead of blue

I have a few others, I don't have photos of.

A lot of my gear photos I post here:

Nice collection.  Getting to become a room full  ;D

dirtypurple

Pan - very nice. Would like to add one of those to my collection at some point, but still drool over Manson's. Specifically the MB-1. My guitar teacher has a PRS - very nice to play when he lets me.

hi, as we say in germany, all good things are three

Beautiful guitar, panrixx, congratulations. I had chosen number 3 also (although by the time I read through to the end of the "your opinion please" thread, you had already placed the order. Quite frankly, I find being at the office all day, every day to be personally inconvenient).

Anyway, here's my only other guitar, which I bought myself for Christmas in 2001:

Well, I'd advise stopping that straight away as it's not good for your health.  Although I've heard if you stay home all day playing guitar it makes you go blind  :o

Beautiful guitar, panrixx, congratulations.

Thanks, it looks much better than my photography suggests.  My only excuse is that it has been a dull, wet, day today so the lighting was pretty poor.

Great photos. I especially liked the room they're in. Looks like you have a dedicated sound proofed room. How nice & lucky!

Dedicated yes, sound proof not really  :-[

It's my basement (unfinished). Acoustics kind of suck. I might finish it into a proper studio in a few years.

It is nice that is underground so you can turn up pretty loud w/o disturbing the neighbors. Disturbing the wife is a different story  ;D

Well, I'm still waiting for my DF but I did get a goody bag from PRS, which was part of their July promotion.

Received the first years 10 sets of PRS strings (yearly for three years), a black leather PRS guitar strap and a good quality T Shirt.  Also included is a free yearly set up for three years.

PRS purchase was a good experience.  Only hope I can say the same when I, eventually, receive my Gibson Dark Fire  :-\

This is actually one I offloaded last year - I bought it for the P90s, but I couldn't really justify keeping it.
The pic was taken at work, so please excuse the 'scope and circuit boards!
The amps are two of my Matamps - Minimat on the left First Lady (now sold) on the right.
Don't have pics of many of my other guitars but they are:
Custom Shop J200

Drooling yet?
Les Paul Custom - black, of course
SG Standard, but with hand wound P90s in humbucker cases - hence the Goldtop offload
Rickenbacker 330 (Montezuma brown)
Highway 1 Strat
Ibanez EDR470 - I HATE this Guitar

Welshman,

Nice Oscope and freq generator!

and nice gear too!
. . . the future ain't what it used to be . . .

Welshman-fgn

Thanks Elantric - on all counts!
I've got even more scopes and signal generators than I have guitars!
Don't tell anyone my deep, dark secret, but my day job is Physics teacher!
It helps fund my guitar addiction and there is an incredible amount of physics in an electric guitar, so I use them a lot in lessons!

School of Rock!!! Yes!!! Why oh why was I not lucky to have teachers like you!

Densmore

Two of these

Laugh all you want.... best PLAYING guitar I own

Notice I said PLAYING... sounds like complete crap though.
Here is the headstock so you can laugh and poke fun

Bought this because of its shape, lines, and just beautiful tone

Hadnt ever seen one of these before so I snagged it up just to have it I guess....

The other Roland Ready Strat

How do you keep someone from wanting to steal the best playing bass in the world made hand to classic fender specs?

Stick this neckplate on it

You're holding back on us, Densmore; in photo number 2, I detect the bouts of a spruce-topped acoustic guitar on the right side. Sooo...

I detect its the bass

Actually   I have played many a Squire that I loved playing. 80% of how a guitar plays is in the setup - and there are so many things to adjust on the squire, if done properly they can compete well with the real deal.

If i had a choice of a $150 Squier or a $150 Epiphone - Id take the Squire anyday!

Ive played too many LP clones where the bridge was hopelessly installed in 1/4 inch away from where it needs to be - and they could never be intonated properly - without major surgery.

If the same thing existed on a cheap Squire Strat - there usually is enough travel in the Fender style bridge saddles to compensate for anything!

Thanks, Elantric; I believe you're right. Being at the edge of the photo, the edge shadow looked like purfling to me. Comparing the photos now, I definitely see the similarity.

No offense intended, Densmore! Seriously though, do you have/play acoustic guitar(s) also?

Back to Elantric, I thoroughly agree with your positive statements re: Squiers.

Back to Densmore: Love your blog and attitude! ;D

pic 5 IS an acoustic... a stratocoustic.
like i said... never seen one before so I grabbed it.... I think it worked out to $150 bucks out the door.

This one does... for some reason... the neck and action are like butter. No buzzes... perfect intonation.... sigh.
Maybe I should toss some kickass pickups in there and make a tone monster out of it and let everyone laugh at the headstock logo. LOL
