That's fantastic news!
Can you detail about latency and ALSA?
Noise?

Thanks for details. I assume all works via USB compliant devices for Midi and that audio devices as SY1000 because of lack of drivers could loose the reamp and reguitar ability, right?
It's a pity the industry is not supporting Linux in full.
Some exceptions exists for good and makes me hoping for even a brighter future!
Bitwig decision was brave at the beginning but I think it's gonna pay.
I am an Ableton Live user and I regret that Linux is not on their plans. Moreover after a year they are not M1 native yet, while Bitwig is. Need to give it a try. If you live inside your daw it might be a better alternative than Apple Walled Garden.
Thanks for letting us know. :-)

Linux supports most Roland/Boss devices, Audio and Midi, with a native driver built into the operating system Kernel.

Does this include the ability to use 6 channels on the SY1000 for USB audio?

Probably not, generally the newest devices don't get support until further down the Kernel track, but the USB Midi does work.

Yes, you can use 8 channels of audio (stereo plus 6 hex) with the SY-1000 on Linux.
