Is there a reason that there is no Patch Exchange area for the GT-1000Core? Will patches from the GT-1000 Patch Exchange area work?

Thanks,
DirtyWork

Yes, The Core and it's big brother are the same with the exception of control assigns.

Initially we believed GT-1000 and GT-1000core  were the same, but now added a GT-1000core patch exchange for the following reasons:

Different price structure between GT-1000 vs GT-1000Core means different hardware capabilities and different Firmware.

It pays to disregard the marketing hype, instead download and compare the manuals and parameter guides for all gear before purchase

QuoteLatest GT-1000 Update: Version 3.1 (March 2020)

(GT-1000 Only) New FX Expansion mode provides four simultaneous FX blocks, up from three in normal mode

(GT-1000 operation is mono when FX Expansion mode is selected)

While the GT-1000Core never has the FX4 FX Block found only in GT-1000

Since the GT-1000core has dedicated stereo input, they probably felt the GT-1000 Mono only mode for FX4 was not suitable on GT-1000core

IMHO the full GT-1000 is a better deal and not as big as competing MFX (Helix, Headrush )

and review the MIDI Implementation

Just a small addition to the part mentioning the connectors of the GT1000 and the GT1000 Core:

The GT1000 Core also has two FX-loops, just like the GT1000, so:

"SEND1 jack, RETURN1 jack, SEND2 jack, RETURN2 jack: 1/4-inch phone type" could be added to the first line, for the GT1000 Core.

BTW, the GT 1000 Core doesn't have separate SUB OUTS, but the two SEND jacks can be assigned as L/R stereo SUB OUTS.

That's an important limitation of the Core I didn't realize.  Can't use SUBOUT and FX loops at the same time.  One or the other.

You can split them up, that is, have one of the sends as a sub out, and the other as a send/return.
