Do you own one? Any other users of the Inf3 here?

I own the original unit and external footswitch.

The 3 simply looks like a repackaged original Infinity (with a slightly nicer looking case). It has a sort of brushed aluminum case instead of glossy black paint.  The 3 has some features more easily accessible via the unit itself such as toggles with individual LEDS to indicate mode.   Some items have dedicated buttons on the front panel whereas on the 1 those features are accessed in a small mode button which is not super easy to see while playing live onstage.  This single switch has 5 (full, trail, fade, arm, all etc) options.

With the original unit, you could access these items using an external midi footswitch too.   Anyway, that's my thinking - you could get the original and use external footswitches to accomplish much of what the 3 would give you.

I have both and could not agree more, I knew/assumed before actually, but got an OKish used deal on the Inf3.
one more advantage is: all the I/O is on the top, and case is slightly angled.  But it's amazing how they market the Infinity 3 as a new invention and successor of the Infinity 2 ;) ;) ;) as everybody had forgotten the amazting original Infinity from 2012 (wow, 11 years)

All I know is the Infinity (original) has very nice audio quality so mine is still here in my studio.
