I recently found the WIO terminal, a small Arduino with display, buttons, 4 MB flash memory, WIFI, BlueTooth and some more stuff. That got me thinking again - can I use it to make a new version of the VController? The VC-mini is added to give an idea of the size of the WIO terminal.

Maybe some kind of modular design?
The display is quite small for a proper foot controller and there is the limitation of only one UART, which is one MIDI in/out port. But hopefully MIDI over Bluetooth and WIFI can be added.

For me the balance is always between developing, which is fun and building for others, which quite frankly is boring. This WIO terminal packs a lot of stuff into a small package. Maybe develop some kind of daughter board with it and we should be in business.

Who would be interested and what would you like to see on it?

I have not pursued this any further. I am currently working on the VC-touch project, which received more positive feedback.
