Is there a way to use at least VG99 as Guitar to MIDI conversion using some other driver under macOS catalina?

Thanks

Absolutely not correct, Bluesbird. Search my posts on the matter. Standard mode   disables MIDI over USB; it only enables class-compliant audio (44.1kHz/16bit). You can use the VG-99 for audio over USB without the advanced driver when in class-compliant mode but not MIDI over USB. The Advanced audio driver in Catalina creates problems and MIDI doesn't fully work. The only way you'll get pitch-to-MIDI from the VG-99 to macOS Catalina or above is via a DIN-to-USB interface.

Thanks.
It's a bit disappointing but Roland supported VG99 since 2007 it's 13 years.  :P

We can say that but it still 100% works on the latest Windows 10 as of writing.

Can't see why Roland would abandon software/driver support of possibly the finest guitar device they ever brought to market on the most musician-friendly platform for computer music in existence, i.e. macOS. But if you're able to run a pre-Catalina version of macOS you're good to go ad-infinitum.

I run 10.14 here so it works. Simply preparing for future upgrades. My iMac is end of the road it won't get Big Sure so last upgrade will be Catalina when Mojave will be de-supported. So far I have tried using Virtual Box with XP or Win 7 inside just to use the editor. Support for Win 10 happens because Win 10 still supports 32 bit apps. I agree that Roland could have done more for Mac users.
