Any chance for a version of your SY-1000 Floorboard Editor to work on older OSX 10.11 El Capitan ?

and so it is, ready for download built on mac osx 10.10,
but not yet tested for midi as the SY-1000 driver won't install on any OS previous to 10.13.
But a USB/Midi adapter (Roland UM-One) should work through the SY-1000 midi ports.

Excellent stuff, did you manage to sort out the data leakage?

So looking forward to this... That said I'm getting pretty good at editing on the machine, I'll have to ween myself off that  ;)

Yes sorted the data leakage (almost) was in the Assigns, the huge size of the data required was also being replicated 16 times (one for each assign),
so the next release I have left out parts of the Assigns until I make a new Assigns gadget.

Posted a Windows (so far) version update.  "version preview 0.06"
The other platforms will follow tomorrow.

Added patch settings text listing and system/global settings text listing.
Making progress of sorts on the drag-n-drop chain.
lots of other bits added or fixed that I can't remember specific details.

five steps forward, and one backwards,
it is now developed a funky thing with the patch name when loaded in from the SY-1000 (only in guitar mode), the first two letters have bad data.
and parts of the Assigns had to be removed to unload heavy memory usage and slow startup, just until I make a new Assigns gizmo widget which is more more friendly.

nothing new to report today, been side tracked for this last week with the Katana mk1 and mk2 editor updates.

Still updating the SY-1000FloorBoard editor code too, fixed the memory and CPU hungry Assigns,
the signal chain visual continues to plague me, but will eventually sort that while plugging away at the rest of the "todo" list.

also looking at other unit/modeler patch files and midi structure to see the possibility to one day convert patches from the VG/VB-99, GP-10, and GT-1000.

Update posted "Version 0.07" preview for
Windows,
Mac,
Linux.

Not much different looking, but lots of functional fixes in patch file saving formats, and the chain layout is starting to resemble some form of order.
The blocks can be "drag ' n ' dropped", although the visual result is a little unpredictable.
There is still a funny bug with the patch name, when saved the first character switches to a non-character '0' when a patch is saved to file. I have been chasing this one for weeks but still not found the source of the bug. Rather than investing more time on that bug, I will continue on with the rest of it for now..

The finer details are taking time, such as when the Main and Sub Outs are stereo "un-linked" and the left and right units can be placed anywhere in the chain, but when they are "stereo-linked" again, they must rejoin each other as a pair next to each other in the chain (in the correct order).

Now have SY-300 file conversion mostly sorted, really cool to be able to load in SY-300 patches.

I will have to post an updated version some time soon....

Thanks a lot

What?   You mean loading patches for SY-300 into the SY-1000?
And someday other units maybe?    Crazy!  Beautiful!

Gumtown being awesome. Again. Not surprised in the slightest.

Eh Gumtown , It's working in bass mode ?

(Thanx for your efforts !)

Let's hope that in the Gumtown Editor there will be some possibility of being able to swap or copy the settings of a patch made in Guitar Mode with a patch in Bass Mode.
In other words, a possibility to load a patch taken from the Guit Mode within the Bass Mode

Long life to bass players!

At the moment, all the synth stuff and most effects directly translate, FX4 has to be made up from the remaining SY-1000 effects.
Next to work on is the Assigns and Pedal functions.

Looking forward to the SY-1000 patches coming out of this using the SY-300 blender function.

SY-300 patch conversion = yes. Blender = No as it is a SY-300 hardware function.

Yes, to a certain degree, although still incomplete.
It is currently "broken" while I do major structural changes, but will be running better once I get the changes done.

Yes it can load guitar or bass patches from either mode, save/export in either mode while in either guitar or bass mode.
Also the code I am currently working on is to load and convert SY-300 and GT-1000 patches too.

I cannot thank you enough for your work on the various floorboards I have used over the years. You have enhanced my enjoyment of many pieces of gear, and for that I salute you! My guitar synths would have gone by the way long ago if not for your hard work!

gumtown

Had a lot of success over the last 24 hours .... YAY ~~

All those small things that were too hard or seemingly impossible at that moment have fallen into place and in the next week or two I might just be able to post an updated version.

I have patch saving and writing to the SY-1000 now working, SY-300 patch conversion working, but yet to do the Assigns and CTL pedal conversions, I have bass mode loading guitar mode, and guitar mode loading bass mode patches, I will check on the GT-1000 patch conversion as it got lost somewhere, the patch name first letter corruption was located and eliminated, System data can be saved and restored (both modes at the same time).

To do's are finish the visual details for the signal chain, look at the Variation patch/effects, a means to use a complete SY-1000 backup off-line.

stay tuned, on the same Bat channel. . . . .
