Hi!

I recently got an SY-300 that I've been mostly busing with my headphones because it sounds bad with my amp (KATANA 100 MKii).

I've been thinking of getting two Yamaha HS5 studio monitors for my setup for some time now and I was wondering if they would work nicely the SY-300.

Did anyone of you try this setup before?

Hi, I use a pair of HS80's with my SY-300 and my GP-10. I also have a pair of HS50's (the previous model to the HS5) that I also use when I want things a little quieter. Both the HS50 and HS80 are wonderfully sounding speakers. be it for using as an output for the SY-300 and GP-10 or listening to music with iTunes from your PC/Mac.  I cannot reccommend them highly enough. I guarantee you won't be dissapointed with the sound they produce. They go loud too! as they are powered monitors, they power amp in them is exactly matched to the speaker drivers in them and as a package the sound stays controlled, not going boomy, muddy or tinny when wound up loud.

You won't be dissapointed!
